Exercise 4: Work with record templates

Scenario: In USMF you need to create a template for similar fixed assets to speed up data entry.

To complete this exercise, you should:

1. In the navigation pane, go to Modules > Fixed assets & Fixed assets > Fixed assets.

2. Select + New.

   • In the Fixed asset group field, enter or select COMP

   • In the Name field, enter a value. For example, enter Corporate lead laptop

3. Expand the Technical information FastTab.

4. In the Make, Model, and Model year fields, enter values and on the Action Pane, select Options then select Record info. Select User template.

5. In the Name field, enter Comp-0069. In the Description field, enter My computer and then select OK.

6. Select Close.
